On Sunday 28th November 13 individuals from across Scotland took part in the pilot of our newly created coaching qualification. The qualification is aligned to the SCQF Level 5 and 6 framework with successful candidates being awarded a Sports Coaching Award by the SQA.
Learning and Development Manager, Shabaz Khan:
‘It’s great to see the pilot going ahead this side of the new year, it has been a lot of work to get us to this stage and I want to thank the Coaching Advisory Group who have been instrumental in getting the qualification off of the ground. It will also be massively beneficial to get the feedback from the candidates that have gone through the qualification, to see what tweaks need to be made for ongoing delivery…It’s an exciting time for the SACU and this is one of the steps we’re taking to become an inclusive, modern and sustainable National Governing Body’
